This session will cover:

  • What to expect from baby sleep
  • How baby sleep changes from 0 to 12 months
  • Tired signs and sleep patterns
  • Responsive settling strategies
  • Referrals for further support and information

Please note the virtual sessions will be hosted by Maribyrnong City Council’s Maternal and Child Health Service and the face-to-face sessions will be hosted by Hobsons Bay City Council’s Maternal and Child Health Service on behalf of Wyndham City Council.

Each information session will run for an hour and a half. They will be facilitated by qualified and experienced Maternal & Child Health experts from Maribyrnong City Council or Hobsons Bay City Council’s Maternal and Child Health Service.

12 Months – 2 Years

Sleep and Settling

Toddlers are developing fast, and their sleep changes a lot at this age. For example, it can seem that toddlers are having trouble settling for sleep, getting to sleep or sleeping through the night, at least some of the time. And toddlers love to test their independence, so getting them to bed in the first place can be a challenge.

This session will cover:

  • Toddler sleep: what you need to know
  • Example of a Toddler sleep schedule
  • Encouraging a positive bedtime routine for your toddler
  • Challenging toddler sleep concerns and strategies to manage them
  • Referrals for further support and information

Please note the virtual sessions will be hosted by Maribyrnong City Council’s Maternal and Child Health Service and the face-to-face sessions will be hosted by Hobsons Bay City Council’s Maternal and Child Health Service on behalf of Wyndham City Council.
