The Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) requires all local governments to publicly tender contractual procurements over the following thresholds:
• For Goods or Services exceeding $150,000 including GST; and
• For Building and Construction works exceeding $200,000 including GST
The Act also requires to prepare, approve and comply with a procurement policy encompassing principles, processes and procedures applied to all purchases.
