Wyndham City is thrilled to announce the upcoming upgrade of the car park at Wyndham Park located at 59 – 61 Cottrell Street Werribee.

This transformative project will see the creation of 80 parking spaces – 30 more spaces than the current gravel car park - with notable improvements in amenities and infrastructure, as well as enhanced access and convenience for the community.

Scheduled for completion by mid to late 2024, the project will not only provide additional parking spaces but also ensure inclusivity with the inclusion of four accessible car spaces.

Additionally, new lighting, footpaths, and landscaping will be incorporated to enhance safety and aesthetics, creating a more visually appealing environment.

The transformation of the temporary gravel car park on Cottrell Street into a formal, well-landscaped facility, highlights Wyndham City's commitment to providing user-friendly parking solutions.

The car park will continue to offer free parking upon completion of works in line with the rest of the Werribee City Centre and will continue to employ a three-hour time limit to ensure equitable access for all.

Expressing enthusiasm for the project, Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Jennie Barrera, emphasised the benefits it will bring to the City Centre.

"As Wyndham City continues to grow, so does the demand for improved parking and access," said Cr Barrera.

"This initiative will not only enhance the community's experience but also contribute to the ongoing development of our City Centre."

Aligned with the Werribee City Centre Parking Strategy, this initiative signifies a concentrated effort to enhance parking infrastructure in the area, catering to the evolving needs of residents and visitors alike.
