Truganina’s Aquarius Street Reserve has had an upgrade!

Improvements include an upgraded kick-about space, expanded path network, new BBQs, upgraded park furniture, new bike hoops, new toilets, more nature play, rubber softfall areas at the playground and more garden beds and trees.

Wyndham City Active City portfolio holder, Councillor Peter Maynard, said the transformed Aquarius Street Reserve would help promote increased community usage and encourage longer stays.

“By expanding and upgrading the park’s offering, we’ve improved the accessibility, functionality and quality of this well-loved community asset,” Cr Maynard said.

“This upgrade elevates Aquarius Street Reserve to a district level park, meaning it now caters not only for Truganina residents but also the wider Wyndham community.”

“It was great to see the community get involved and provide their feedback on how they use Aquarius Street Reserve and the inclusions they wanted to see as part of this upgrade.”

These works are part of Council's strategy to improve our open spaces as our population continues to grow and diversify.
