2021/22 Local roads program

Improving local roads is one of the key priorities of the 2021/22 Council budget, and over the coming year Wyndham City will invest $12.9 million to resurface and reconstruct various local roads throughout the municipality.

Alfred Rd Reserve Master Plan Implementation

The Alfred Rd Reserve Master Plan was adopted by Wyndham City Council in September 2021. The new Active Open Space reserve located on Alfred Rd, Browns Rd and Galvin Rd in Werribee.

Once complete the reserve will offer the local community access to a range of formal sport and active recreation opportunities.

The Bensonhurst Pde Reserve Master Plan will guide the potential future development of the reserve. A range of open space facilities are proposed to create a space where people can engage in healthy activity and come together as a community.

Lawrie Emmins Reserve is an existing Open Space reserve located in the north-east of the municipality.

The Master Plan sets a long term vision for the development of the open space reserve. The vision includes improvement to formal sport, provision of active recreation opportunities as well as a two wheel cycling hub.

The Manor Lakes North Integrated Family Centre is being constructed on the corner of Malt Drive and Holyoake Parade and will provide the local community with access to a wide range of children’s and family services in a safe, welcoming, and sustainable facility.

Wyndham City is upgrading Moondara Street Park in Tarneit.

These improvements are part of Council’s strategy to address ageing infrastructure within a number of reserves across the City.
