Riverwalk Community Centre (interim name)
Riverwalk Community Centre (interim name)
Wyndham City is investing in a new $19 million community centre, kindergarten and open space for families at Werribee’s Riverwalk Estate.
Located on Dutchelm Avenue, the new precinct will include a purpose-built community centre with kindergarten, maternal and child health facilities and open space, providing Werribee families with the facilities and services they need, close to home.
Design work for the Riverwalk Community Centre (interim name) and open space is currently underway. Construction on both the community centre and open space is expected to begin in 2027, with the open space to be completed in late 2027, the community centre to be operational in 2028 and the kindergarten to open its doors in 2029.
The community centre portion of this project has received $6.85 million in Victorian Government funding through the Building Blocks Capacity Building and Building Blocks Planning grants.
Benefits
- Providing community facilities and services for Riverwalk Estate residents and the broader Werribee community
- The precinct will integrate perfectly with the future Riverwalk Town Centre, which is adjacent to the site
