Wyndham City will upgrade Presidents Park in Wyndham Vale following the adoption of a Master Plan that lays out a vision for the 75-hectare reserve.
Council will deliver the upgrade of the park in stages based on the recommended priorities identified in the Plan.
Stage 1 is the construction of an improved Community Events Area at the southern end of the reserve (Heaths Road). Construction is underway and will be delivered by late 2025:
- Community Event Space infrastructure
- Path network (new walking paths and enhanced existing paths)
- Landscape areas (garden beds, trees etc.)
Planning and detailed design will be initiated for Stage 2 projects during 2025-2027 in preparation for delivery in future years.
Stage 2 will include:
- upgraded baseball pavilion and upgrades to the diamonds
- Dog Obedience grassed training area
- Landscape areas (garden beds, trees)
- Improvements to stormwater management
Future Stages will be initiated pending budget availability such as:
- A second full-size hockey pitch
- Reorientation of the four main softball fields
- New Play Space and Public Toilet Facilities
- Review of the Lake
