Road Reconstructions

Improving local roads is one of the key priorities of the 2023/24 Council budget, and over the coming year Wyndham City will invest $8.4 million to rebuild local roads throughout the municipality.

These works make our suburban streets smoother, safer and more enjoyable for everyday use.

Wyndham City takes a multi-pronged approach to determine which roads need an upgrade. Council officers regularly monitors our roads right across the municipality and consider feedback from the community to help guide this annual program.

The local roads program does not include Wyndham City’s larger-scale road projects, which are funded as stand-alone projects in the Council budget.

Wyndham City is responsible for upgrading and maintaining neighbourhood roads, while the State Government is responsible for delivering major roads, including highways.

  • Roads are smoother and sturdier

My street is getting a road reconstruction. What do I need to know?

Staying in touch

If you receive a postcard from us this means a road reconstruction is planned for your street. The postcard will include contact details so you can contact a Council officer should you require more information. Once a construction timeline has been finalised, you will receive a further notification from Council’s contractor.

I have more questions. Where can I get more information?
