He joined Carol Brett’s art class and won first prize in the water colour section of the Sanctuary Lakes inaugural art show with a painting of his home. Breaking a plate treasured by his wife prompted him to revert to oils and paint the English cottage scene depicted on the plate. Why give up when you enjoy painting and people enjoy your work? The artist invites you to share in this enjoyment.

Graham's journey into art has brought together a collection of his latest works which clearly shows his love of the English countryside, its cottages and people. He realised that he had a talent for drawing when he and his teenage twin brother both shared first prize in an Australia wide art competition. This exhibition showcases his artistic journey which he suspended until he retired as an Insurance Manager in 1998. He decided to concentrate on round canvases when a fellow artist purchased his first canvas which was round. Walk past the 15 canvases now on display to share his profound love of the subject matter. See the excellent detail inherent in each of his paintings. Stand and feel yourself drawn into the scene.
