Reimagining the city at night through the eyes of its young people.

Wyndham City Council is partnering with internationally acclaimed performance company Mammalian Diving Reflex to present Nightwalks with Teenagers - a unique, youth-led public art project where teenagers guide audiences through their neighbourhoods, sharing their world, their stories, and their way of experiencing the city after dark.

Nightwalks with Teenagers is a walking performance designed and led by young people. Over two weeks of workshops and rehearsals, teenage participants will co-create a one-of-a-kind nighttime event, sharing talents, stories, games, and personal perspectives along a guided walk. Audiences of all ages are invited to join in - connecting through performance, play, and genuine interaction.

We are seeking 15–20 young people aged 14 to 18 to participate in this exciting project. No prior performance experience is necessary - just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate and lead.

You don’t have to be a Werribee local or currently living in Werribee to be part of this project - just someone excited to get involved.

Participants must be available for the full rehearsal and performance period and will be supported throughout the project by artists from Mammalian Diving Reflex and Wyndham City Council staff.

This program is free to participate in, and light meals will be provided during workshops, with dinner on performance nights.

Participants will work together to devise a performance to be presented as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival program.

You plan it. You host it. You perform it.
