Breastfeeding Support Service (BFSS) – Wyndham Council
Wyndham Council offers a Breastfeeding Support Service (BFSS) to families living within the Wyndham area. All consultations and group sessions are provided by a certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and are free of charge.
Operating Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- Closed on Public Holidays and weekend
Update Regarding Available Services
In 2024, our Breastfeeding Support Service conducted a trial of additional support initiatives, which included:
• Breastfeeding drop-in sessions on Friday afternoons.
• Virtual group sessions
Commencing Friday 9 May 2025 our range of services to support Breastfeeding for Wyndham families will include Breastfeeding Drop-in sessions.
When: every Friday and will include:
- Morning session between 9 and 11am
- Afternoon session between 1 and 3pm.
Where: Werribee West Family Centre, Maternal and Child Health Centre – consultation room and waiting area - 37 Ballan Road, Werribee
How to access
There is no need to be referred or submit a request for support if attending the BF Drop-in sessions.
Just turn up during session times to be seen by one of our Lactation Consultants.
Our usual face to face individual consultations will continue and can be accessed by completing the online request form.
