Welcome Kids! Let’s celebrate the wonder and joy of Book Week!

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has been running Book Week since 1945! It’s a celebration of books and Australian children's authors and illustrators.
The 2021 CBCA Book Week takes place from 21-27 August and the theme is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.

Book Week Events & Activities

Wyndham City Libraries will be celebrating Book Week despite the current lockdown and although our previously advertised activities won’t all be going ahead, we have some great Book Week activities for you to do from home! See more information below.

CBCA Book Awards & Lists

Every year the CBCA hosts the Book of the Year Awards for Australian children's books published over the past year. The judges select books for the notable list, shortlist and winners, across six categories. The CBCA announced the 2021 Book Award winners on Friday 20 August.
