The Wyndham Emerging Professionals Network provides opportunities for emerging professionals across Wyndham to connect, learn new skills, and work towards building their careers.
The Wyndham Emerging Professionals Network runs regular events throughout the year, with a focus on networking and capacity building for emerging professionals. Previous event topics have included Networking, Project Management, Customer Service, and Mental Health.
The Wyndham Emerging Professionals Network is led by a volunteer Community Action Group, in collaboration with Wyndham City Council and Opportunity Wyndham partners. Action Group members meet regularly to plan, develop and run upcoming events. Expression of Interest for involvement in the Action Group are currently closed, but future rounds are expected periodically.

14th Sept 2023: Digital Skills
The WEPN hosted an event at Tarneit CLC, with guest speakers sharing their tips about the importance of digital skills in the workplace, and ways to stay up to date on key digital tools and trends.
20th July 2023: Communication and Emotional Intelligence
The WEPN invited a range of guest speakers to share their tips about about empathy, active listening, and building strong relationships with others.
18th May 2023: Mental Health and Wellbeing
The WEPN invited a range of guest speakers to share their tips about:
- Managing stress and anxiety
- Building resilience and mindfulness techniques
- Network effectively and confidently
12th December 2022: Customer Service Skills
The WEPN hosted a panel of guest speakers to share their tips about:
- How to turn any interaction with colleagues, customers, and business into a positive professional outcome
- The art of engaging people and maintaining relationships in any industry
19th October 2022: Project Management
The WEPN invited a range of guest speakers to share their tips about:
- The mindsets effective project managers use
- Tangible tools and frameworks to take an idea and deliver an outcome
- The process and skills for project success
- Where to find further resources to support your project
11th August 2022: Networking 101 – Introduction to Networking
The WEPN invited a range of guest speakers to share their tips about how to:
- Network effectively and confidently
- Expand your networks with other emerging professionals in Wyndham
