Presented by Wyndham City the fully enclosed, all-weather ice skating rink will be open for ten days across the school holidays, from 4 – 13 July.

The rink will be located in the Wyndham Cultural Centre Car Park with fun themed skating sessions, DJ tunes and delicious winter fare on offer from local businesses to enjoy.

Everyone is welcome – whether you're a seasoned skater or a beginner, with learn to skate equipment available and skate hire included.

Enjoy a great day out with family and friends and discover all the amazing businesses here in Werribee City Centre. 

Session times will be ticketed, with bookings opening in June.

What is the cost?

All tickets include skate hire: 

  • Children (17 and under): $5
  • Adults: $10
  • Family (2 Adults, 2 Children): $25

Do I need to book or register?

Yes, tickets will go on sale early June.  Walk-ins will be available if tickets do not sell out. To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend securing a ticket. Register here, to be the first to know when tickets go on sale.

Can I make a Group Booking?

Absolutely. You can book for up to 10 people via the ticket link. If you’re looking to book for a larger group, please get in touch with us at werribeecitycentre@wyndham.vic.gov.au and we’ll be happy to help.

Is it a real ice skating rink? 

Yes, it is REAL ice!

What is the age requirement? 

Children under 3 are not permitted on the ice. Children aged 3–5 must purchase a Kanga Skating Aid with their ticket, and all children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult on the ice. We will have 15 skating frames available to support balance and stability. These can be pre-booked for $5 each. Frames are limited and expected to sell out, so booking early is recommended.

Where will The Rink on Watton be?

The Rink on Watton will be held in the Wyndham Cultural Centre car park, accessible via Watton Street. 177 Watton Street, Werribee VIC 3030.

How long does the experience last? 

The skate session is 30 minutes. 

How long before my session do I need to arrive? 

We recommend arriving early to allow time for check-in and skate hire, so you can make the most of your session on the ice.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your session has started, entry may not be permitted. You may need to exchange your ticket (subject to availability and a fee) or purchase a new one. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for missed sessions.

Can I bring my own ice skates?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own skates. Please note that ticket pricing remains the same regardless of whether you hire skates or bring your own.

What size do the skates go up to? 

The largest size is a size 50EU – which is equivalent to a size 15 US.

What happens if it rains?

The Rink is fully covered by a large marquee, so skating will go ahead rain, hail or shine. It’s an all-weather activity.

Will there be food available?

Absolutely! Werribee City Centre is home to a fantastic range of restaurants and eateries, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. Whether you're after a quick bite or a sit-down meal, there’s something for everyone — and many local businesses will have special offers to enjoy throughout the program.

To make the most of your visit, we recommend booking a table at one of our local restaurants and turning your skate session into a full day/night out!

Can I take photos or record the experience?

Absolutely! You're welcome to take photos and share your experience — don’t forget to tag #TheRinkOnWatton when you do.

We just ask that you’re mindful of other visitors and avoid disrupting the experience for others. Please note that professional photography equipment, including tripods, is not permitted.

All media or commercial filming requests must be directed to Wyndham City for approval.

Will restrooms be available on site?

Yes, there will be restrooms on site, including an accessible restroom.

The Rink on Watton is conveniently located just a 5–10 minute walk from Werribee Train Station, making it easy to reach by train or bus. Plan your journey at ptv.vic.gov.au.

Car Parking

West End Car Park
Free all-day parking. Entry via Werribee Street.

Cultural Centre Car Park
Free 2-hour parking before 5pm and free 3-hour parking after 5pm.
Access from Synnot Street only — Watton Street access will be closed.

Hunter Car Park (Holiday Inn)
Located beneath the Holiday Inn. Free 3-hour parking, then a flat $5 fee applies for longer stays.  Entry via Synnot Street or Rushford Lane.

Riverbend Car Park
Free 2-hour parking until 5.30pm, and free parking after 5.30pm.
Located on Comben Drive.

Cherry Street Car Park
Free 3-hour parking before 5pm, and free parking after 5pm.

Yes, there will be low sensory sessions which will include lower music and lighting. Stay tuned for dates and times.
