These terms and conditions apply to the funding available under Council’s Land Protection Grant Scheme (‘Scheme’). By applying for funding, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with any relevant information about the Scheme, e.g. your application, any information on Council’s website and any Council correspondence regarding the Scheme.
- ELIGIBILITY
1.1 To be eligible for funding, the applicant must be the owner or occupier of land over 4ha in size, which is located outside of the Urban Growth Boundary and within dry-land agricultural farming area, and which is not a quarry.
1.2 Council staff, Councillors and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.
- APPLICATIONS
2.1 To apply for funding, applicants must submit a properly completed application form via Council’s website, in person at Council’s Civic Centre or by mail to Council before 31 May each year. Applications which are incomplete or received after this date may not be accepted for that year’s round of funding.
2.2 Only one application per property will be accepted annually.
2.3 Applicants acknowledge and agree that the annual funding under this Scheme is limited and once this funding has been exhausted, applications will no longer be accepted until further funding becomes available.
2.4 Applicants agree to immediately notify Council of any changes to their application, including the request to withdraw their application by emailing lpgs@wyndham.vic.gov.au.
- ASSESSMENT OF APPLICATIONS
Applications will be assessed by Council officers in accordance with the eligibility criteria and applicants will be contacted regarding their application within 10 business days of its submission.
- SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
4.1 Successful applicants must enter into a funding agreement with Council and comply with the terms and conditions of that agreement.
4.2 Successful applicants who have elected to receive a Land Manager Implemented Grant acknowledge and agree that prior to receiving a funding agreement to enter into, they must meet with Council at the relevant property and allow an inspection of the property to enable the development of a Land Management Plan, which will detail the land management works to be undertaken as part of the Scheme.
- MAILING LISTS
Where you have opted into joining either or both of Council’s mailing lists, you acknowledge and agree that Council may periodically send emails to the email address provided in your application form. You acknowledge that you can unsubscribe from these mailing lists at any time.
- GENERAL
6.1 Council accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, invalid or corrupt applications.
6.2 Council reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
6.3 Council’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
