Electric Vehicle Policy

Council has developed an electric vehicle policy In support of Council’s Resilient Wyndham strategy targets:

By 2030 all Council fleet passenger vehicles will be low or zero emission

By 2030 all Council vehicle purchases will meet best practice emissions standards and use a carbon neutral power source (where a fit for purpose option is available)

By 2040 Wyndham has transitioned to become a zero-carbon community.

This policy defines Council’s roles and responsibilities in the electric vehicle transition, including charging infrastructure installation, planning support for at home charging and workplace charging and the transition of Council’s own passenger fleet.
