What to expect on arrival at your appointment under COVID level 1 restrictions

On arrival at your appointment, there are a few things that you will notice:

Screening: On arrival, one of our friendly Covid Marshalls will greet you upon entry and request for you to check in using the Services Victoria App. We do require anyone over the age of 16 to be fully vaccinated to be on premises. If this is a challenge, please contact your counsellor and we can discuss other options available such as online appointments.

In addition, your counsellor will check you into the counselling room using one of our online forms which only requires your child’s name and contact number. If you/your child does not have a mobile number, we will enter your contact number. This is to ensure we can contact you as soon as possible if we become aware of our site becoming a Tier 1 or Tier 2 site during the time of your visit.

Social/Physical Distancing: In the public areas of the centre, we are ensuring social and physical distancing of individuals and family units. After screening, we will assist you to find a comfortable area to wait prior to your appointment. We ask for your understanding should we ask you to move location. To assist us in managing social distancing, we kindly ask you to attend alone or bring minimal accompanying persons with you to your appointment.

Additional Infection Control Precautions: Wyndham City has always and will continue to maintain the highest level of infection control procedures and environmental cleaning. Our staff clean and wipe all surfaces before and after each counselling session. We also have cleaners who come in twice a day to sanitise the centre.

Family Sessions: Family counselling sessions will be in larger rooms instead of the consultation rooms due to capacity requirements. There are multiple options available in our community centres.

Thank you for your understanding in ensuring we are providing a COVID-19 Safe Environment. Please contact your counsellor if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to our session coming up in the near future.
