Wyndham City is proud to introduce the Wyndham Business Mentoring Program, an initiative designed to match new and emerging Wyndham-based business owners with experienced business leaders who are passionate about sharing their own lived experience of starting, running, and growing a business.
This program is completely free to join and are open for participants to apply, with sessions to take place between March to June 2026.
For any questions, please reach out to the Economic Development Team at business@wyndham.vic.gov.au or call 9742 8170.
What is Mentoring and Why is it Important?
Running a business can be rewarding, but it also comes with challenges. Having a mentor means having someone who’s been there before, someone who can share what worked for them, what didn’t, and what they learned along the way.
Important to note that Mentors in this program are volunteers sharing their personal and professional experiences. They do not provide professional, legal, financial, or accounting advice, and all business decisions remain the responsibility of the Mentee/Participants.
Through mentoring, you can:
- Learn from experience. Gain insight from someone who has already walked the path of business ownership.
- Get practical perspective. Hear real examples and strategies you can adapt to your own situation.
- Build local connections. Grow your network and be part of Wyndham’s supportive business community.
How it Works
- Apply Online: Complete the online application form listed below.
- Matching Process: The Wyndham City team will review applications and pair mentees with suitable mentors based on experience, industry, and business needs.
- Meet and Learn: Once matched, mentors and mentees will meet for at least twice (in person or online) between March to June 2026. Meetings are flexible and guided by mutual availability.
- Support and Check-ins: Wyndham City Business Support will provide ongoing support and resources to help participants get the most out of the program.
Meet the Mentors
Emma Costin
CEO, EQ Leaders
Emma Costin believes mentorship is about helping others uncover their purpose and legacy in business, creating something that goes beyond profit to deliver lasting meaning and impact. Having built her own business from the ground up, she understands the uncertainty, courage and persistence it takes to keep going when challenges arise.
Through her work with EQ Leaders, Emma supports emerging leaders, social entrepreneurs and women in business to grow in confidence and clarity. Her approach is grounded, practical and deeply supportive. She challenges mentees to explore the beliefs that drive or limit them and helps them find clear, achievable steps forward.
Emma brings a unique dimension to her mentoring practice, sometimes incorporating horse-assisted learning to build emotional intelligence and authentic leadership. Her goal is to help mentees back themselves, stay true to their values and take their next steps with courage and conviction.
Amol Kasaju
Business Owner, Quest Werribee
Amol Kasaju arrived in Australia from Nepal in 2009 with limited English and a simple dream to one day wear a tie. Beginning his journey as a housekeeper, Amol learned every aspect of the hospitality industry from the ground up. Through determination, patience and the support of those who believed in him, he became the proud business owner of Quest Werribee.
Amol’s success has been shaped by mentors who saw his potential before he saw it himself. Their guidance and encouragement helped transform his aspirations into real progress and lasting impact. He now champions the power of mentorship, believing it is not just helpful but essential for personal and professional growth.
To Amol, mentorship is about more than advice. It is about belief, resilience and empowerment. He is passionate about helping new business owners dream bigger, build confidence and lead with purpose, just as others once did for him.
