Share your story through food! Submit a meaningful recipe and its story. Selected entries will be shared at a community celebration of Wyndham’s diverse flavours and cultures.

Flavours of Wyndham (Recipes and Stories from our Community) Competition 2026 Terms and Conditions
- This competition is run by Wyndham City Council (‘Council’) in the state of Victoria, Australia only.
- By entering this competition, you agree to accept these terms and conditions. If your entry does not comply with these terms and conditions, it will not be valid and will not be accepted.
- Entry is restricted to Wyndham residents aged 18 years and over. Council staff, Councillors and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
- To enter the competition, you must register your interest as an Entrant via the library website and then will be sent an individual Canva A3 template via email. Participants will need to finalise submission of their entry by 11:59pm on Monday 16th March 2026.
- The competition opens at 12:01am on Monday 16 February 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 16th March 2026 (‘competition period’). Entries received outside of the competition period will not be accepted.
- Only one recipe per entrant will be accepted.
- Entries must comply with the following guidelines:
- include all 3 elements: a recipe (ingredients and method), image (photo or graphic) and a story;
- The recipe should represent a culturally traditional family dish;
- The recipe should be original and has not been copied in part or, in full, from any other source;
- The recipe should be easy to read and follow;
- The story should be no more than 100 words and should reflect what the recipe means to you and your family;
- The recipe should use a range of easy to find ingredients;
- The entry should be typed in English;
- The entry should be created using the A3 Canva template provided upon registration;
- The entry should not contain any offensive or inappropriate material or infringe a third party’s intellectual property rights and

The entry should not have been created using any artificial-intelligence (AI) or chatbots, such as ChatGPT.
- You acknowledge that the recipes will be chosen by Council officers.
- The recipes selected by Council officers will be based on merit, diversity of recipes received, adherence to the Canva template and guidelines (as outlined in point 7) and be visually appealing.
- Entrants of chosen recipes will be contacted by email by 5:00pm on Monday 31st March 2026.
- You consent to the publication of your name and entry on the Libraries in Wyndham Facebook page and on Council’s website. https://www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/flavoursofwyndham
- Entrants whose recipes have been selected will be invited to a launch event in April 2026. Any entrants that have been selected will be notified of the event date via email.
- Council accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, invalid or corrupt entries.
- If for any reason this competition cannot be run as planned, Council reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
- Council reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and without notice to you.
- Council’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Privacy Collection Statement
Your/your child’s personal information is being collected by Wyndham City Council to enable you to enter the Flavours of Wyndham (Recipes and Stories from our Community) Competition 2026. The information will be stored in Council’s Customer Database and used to identify you when communicating with Council and for delivery of services and information. By registering your/your child’s details, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the personal information as stated in the Terms and Conditions. Your/your child’s personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).
