Wyndham City's Light Box Program commissions artists for a temporary public art exhibition at Manor Lakes Library, Point Cook Library and Arndell Park Community Centre.
The inaugural program is a collaboration with The Substation, featuring new and existing works by artists Safa El Samad, MeiMei Hodgkinson, and Nicholas Burridge. Their artworks respond to the social and environmental landscapes of Wyndham and other western regions of Melbourne, shaped through personal stories, research and creative practice.

For the four light boxes on the external walls of Point Cook Community Learning Centre, Safa El Samad developed new works with her signature medium – machine embroidery.
At Manor Lakes Community Learning Centre, A Ritual for the Anthropocene by Nicholas Burridge captures the artist’s experimental act that sparks contemplation of the past and future of human intervention in the environment.
Wyndham City Council recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first Peoples of Australia. We acknowledge the Bunurong and Wadawurrung Peoples as Traditional Owners of the lands on which Wyndham City operates. The Wadawurrung and Bunurong Peoples have and always will belong to the Werribee Yalook (river), creeks, stars, hills and red clay of this Country. We pay respect to their Ancestors and Elders who always have, and always will, care for Country and community today and for future generations.
