Exhibition is on Monday - Friday (Closed Saturday & Sunday)
The Art of Connection celebrates the strength of women and the power of shared experience. This exhibition brings together a collective of women whose lives have been shaped by resilience, creativity, and the pursuit of connection. Many are participants in the Women and Mentoring (WAM) program—women with lived experience of the legal system, alongside the mentors who walk with them.
The works presented form a rich tapestry of stories. Some artists are picking up a paintbrush, pen, or camera for the first time; others are rediscovering creative practices once set aside. Each piece is an act of courage and self-expression—an exploration of what it means to connect with ourselves, with one another, with our histories, and with new possibilities.
The Art of Connection is more than an exhibition—it is a celebration of voice, vulnerability, and community. It invites viewers to witness the strength present in every brushstroke, stitch, stanza, and image, and to honour the women who created them.
For women who have experienced trauma, discrimination, or disconnection, creativity can be a lifeline. Artistic practice helps quiet the inner critic, build confidence, and give shape to stories that words alone may struggle to hold. Through making, participants have found space to reflect, reclaim, and reimagine.
