See the Victoria State Rose Garden at its blooming best this spring as Wyndham City’s free State Rose & Garden Show returns to Werribee Park on 11 – 12 November.

Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Susan McIntyre encouraged residents to enjoy this much-loved event and experience the garden in full bloom.

“Whether you’re a green thumb or a gardening novice, there will be something for everyone, with gardening exhibits, plant stalls, workshops, guided tours, live music, food trucks and more.”

“It’s such a special way to experience the Victoria State Rose Garden, with tours from garden volunteers, gardening workshops and the opportunity to picnic amongst the roses,” Cr McIntyre said.

Wyndham City’s Creative City portfolio holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud said that this year’s event would feature a fresh new program to enjoy.

“The Gardeners’ Dome will feature presentations from an impressive line-up of gardening experts, including Chloe Thomson, Vasili Kanidiadis, Craig Castree and The Fermented Mumma.”

“This year’s event will also feature a Green Hub focused on sustainable living and gardening practices, with stalls from Craig Castree, Nature West, Wormlovers and Eat My Garden,” Cr Mahfoud said.

“In the All Green Workshops & Café area, there will be free, hands-on workshops including flower crown and posy making, beekeeping, terracotta pot painting, native seed collection, a nature play program for kids and the opportunity to make your own terrarium or kokedama.”

“Arts company, SWAY will entertain visitors from above with incredible, gravity-defying performances and there will be a range of delicious food options to enjoy,” Cr Mahfoud said.

The State Rose & Garden Show is free for all ages, with a gold coin donation encouraged to support the work of the wonderful Victoria State Rose Garden Supporters, who volunteer their time to care for the garden.
