Wyndham Arts and Culture invite you to attend a 2-hour workshop at Penrose Promenade Community Centre with international artist Hiroyasu Tsuri, aka TWOONE, focusing on public art skills development.
With over 20 years’ experience as both a public and exhibiting studio artist, working across Australia and beyond, Hiro has a wealth of knowledge in his approach and response to public art projects. Join Hiro in this session as he shares his blueprint for interpreting artist briefs, researching place and context, using art as a process of thought, and translating ideas into refined visual outcomes.
As an established artist, Hiro is keen to unpack the mindset and methods that sit across multiple public art commissions. Showcasing components of his written and visual responses, Hiro will use these as jumping-off points to discuss practical tools for artists navigating public art opportunities. This session will equip you with an understanding of collaborative ways of working and best practices in commissioning and prepare you for applying for a Council expression of interest process.
