Love horses? Enjoy a day out with the family and meet these gentle giants up close at the National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival.
Stop by for a pat and a photo, watch them in the show ring and enjoy food trucks and face painting.
The National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival is one of Australia's largest heavy horse shows, with more than 100 classes in the show ring including harness classes, rider and led classes and stud stock.
The festival shines a spotlight on heritage heavy horse breeds including Clydesdales, Shires, Percherons, Friesians, Highland Ponies, Fjords and Haflingers.
Come down and watch the show ring activities with full commentary, visit the displays in the trade village and grab a bite to eat and the food trucks, with free kids craft activities.
The National Equestrian Centre is part of the Werribee Park Precinct with the Werribee Open Range Zoo, Werribee Park Mansion and the Victoria State Rose Garden only minutes away.
