At the 23 July 2019 Special Council Meeting, Councillors adopted the updated Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Policy which highlights the importance of Councillors, staff and personnel acting on behalf of Council to consider the reputational risks when they are offered or provide a gift, benefit or hospitality.

Wyndham City Council is committed to best practice, transparent decision making and good governance.  This Policy is intended to support Councillors, staff and personnel acting on behalf of Council to avoid conflicts of interest, maintain high levels of integrity and build public trust.

Although not a legislative requirement but in the interests of transparency and best practice, a public version of the Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Register will be published on Council’s website and updated on a half yearly basis.
