Wyndham City Council has released Stage 1 of a two stage tender to identify suitable organisations to tender for the management of Werribee Old Shire Offices (49 Watton Street, Werribee) as a Hall for Hire.
In Stage 1, organisations will be invited to submit their Expression of Interest to be assessed according to selection criteria. Applicants will be shortlisted and invited to submit a formal application in Stage 2. Following this two-stage process, the preferred organisation will be subject to final approval and subsequently enter lease negotiations.
The successful organisation will manage the site as a Hall for Hire and facilitate equitable community access through the management of its hire and use. Previous hirers will have the opportunity to apply for use of the spaces under its new management
Please note: Old Shire Offices will close from 19 November 2025 while Council undertakes refurbishment works to improve accessibility, functionality and safety, while preserving the building’s heritage features. Once refurbishment works are complete, the building will re-open under the management of the new organisation.
