Returning in 2026 at a fresh location, Australia Day in Wyndham brings together all the family-friendly favourites – from live music and kids’ activities to sporting games and more.

Hosted by the engaging Jules Zass, the stage program kicks off with high-energy fun for kids featuring Groovy Face Entertainment and Woody’s World, blending music, laughter, and interactive play.
The afternoon brings a cultural showcase from Music Valley presenting Afro-Fusion, followed by a feel-good musical finale with Reckless – Australian Crawl Tribute Band and the dynamic Big City Beat Band, delivering Aussie classics and party favourites to wrap up the celebrations.
Beyond the stage, there’s plenty to explore:
- Roving performers including Gemma Giraffe, Kara Koala, Dr Hubble’s giant bubbles, Corey Craze’s circus tricks, and the whimsical Garden Party.
- Kids’ craft and play zones with eco-friendly activities, flag making, nature crafts, giant outdoor games and face painting.
- Community sports with local football & cricket clubs and more.
- Food trucks serving up tasty treats and of course, an Aussie sausage sizzle!
- The event includes the presentation of the 2026 Wyndham Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards, which recognise the outstanding service of community members who make Wyndham a better place.
Dunnings Road Reserve is located a short distance from Point Cook Town Centre, with free public parking available nearby and easy access via public transport, including direct bus services or bus connections from Hoppers Crossing, Williams Landing and Laverton Train Stations.

ENTRY
This is a free event run by Wyndham City, tickets are not required. The event begins at 11am.
Free children’s wristbands are provided at the Information marquee. Parents or carers can write their phone number on the wristband and put around the wrist of their child. This helps us to quickly reunite you with your child should they get lost during the event. Please ensure a phone number for a parent or carer who is at the event is written on the wristband. Please supervise your children at all times.
GETTING THERE
Walk or Cycle
If you live close by, we encourage you to walk or cycle to the event! It’s amazing to have an event in your own backyard so take advantage of the proximity to you and walk or cycle from home. There will be bike parking available, please bring your own bike lock.
Public Transport
The event is easy to get to by bus. The 494 Bus route will stop near the event and connects with Williams Landing Train Station. Attendees can use the Lennon Blvd stop to access the Event.

Car Parking
Patrons who are driving to the event are encouraged to park a short distance away and walk. There is limited onsite parking – access via corner of Kingsley Ave and Central Park Ave. There is also free street parking available in nearby streets, however we ask that you are considerate of residents by following parking guidelines and do not park across driveways or nature strips.
Please note that parking at Stockland Town Centre Shopping Centre is for customers of the centre only and not event patrons.

FOOD & DRINK
There will be food vendors onsite available for purchase including coffee, BBQ, burgers, twisted potatoes, ice cream, vegetarian options and more with cashless facilities.
Patrons are welcome to BYO food and non-alcoholic drinks into the event. There are also several businesses operating close by and at Stockland Town Centre.
Please note that this is an alcohol-free event, BYO alcohol is NOT permitted.

This event supports the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Initiative, a globally recognised program that enables individuals with non-visible disabilities to discreetly indicate they may need additional support, understanding, or time. Trained staff members will be wearing Sunflower badges to signify their readiness to assist attendees. Wyndham residents can obtain one free Sunflower product from any Wyndham City Council Library.
Park Description
The event is being held on a sporting oval. Therefore, there will be some grassed areas and concrete accessible ramps to most areas of the event site.
A Sensory Space is provided at the event to provide a quiet space for people to self-regulate and assist with reducing sensory input. The space will be located in a quieter area of the event and will feature comfortable furniture and sensory tools. Please ask event staff for assistance or for the location of the Sensory Space.
Social Story - a downloadable Social Story will be provided on this page closer to the event. The Social Story helps people to prepare for what to expect when attending this event. There will also be some printed copies available to collect from the Sensory Space.

What to Bring
Australia Day in Wyndham is an all-weather event - we recommend you bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, picnic rug and jacket. Sunscreen will be available at the Information marquee. There will be limited shade and seating. Please feel free to bring your own picnic chairs and rugs. Shelter structures are not permitted.

A water refill station will be onsite for patrons to fill up their own water bottles. Water can also be purchased from food vendors. You can also BYO water.
Weather
Please come prepared for all weather. If we determine the weather is extreme the events may be cancelled for safety. We will endeavour to communicate any cancellation via Wyndham City’s social media pages.
Children
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Pets
Dogs are permitted at the event on a short lead and supervised at all times. However, we recommend that you leave your dog at home. The event will have loud noises from the stage and can be crowded at times. Bring a water bowl and please clean up after your dog.
Other animals and pets are not permitted at the event.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
Live streaming or broadcasting of events is not permitted. Commercial photography, filming and the use of drones at the event is not permitted without prior permission from Council.
A Council photographer and videographer will be taking photographs and footage at the event. We’ll share these on our social media and websites. If you prefer not to be photographed, simply let our official event photographer and/or our event staff know.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Australia Day in Wyndham is a free, community event presented by Wyndham City. All attendees must adhere to the Conditions of Entry outlined below to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Activities
Many free activities are delivered by third parties. Council does not guarantee their quality or suitability. Attendees are responsible for determining if activities are appropriate for themselves or their children.
Advertising, Sales and Promotions
Attendees may not sell, hire, or distribute any goods or promotional materials without prior Council approval.
Alcohol and Smoking
Alcohol and smoking are not permitted at the event.
Anti-social behaviour
Anti-social behaviour is not permitted. Attendees must act safely, responsibly, and respectfully at all times to maintain a family-friendly environment.
Bikes and E-Scooters
Bicycles, motorised bikes, scooters, and e-scooters are not permitted to be ridden within the event area and must be walked or parked at the designated entrances. Please bring your own lock if parking, as items are left at your own risk. Exceptions apply for mobility scooters and aids.
Cancellation and Modifications to the Event
Council reserves the right to cancel or modify the event at any time.
Changes to Conditions
Council may amend these Conditions of Entry at any time.
Children
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Consent in Relation to Images and Photographs
By entering the event, attendees confirm their awareness that photography/video may be taking place and their image may be captured and used by Wyndham City Council including printed publications, website, social media and may be shared with media and tourism bodies in promotion of Council activities. Wyndham City Council uses consent forms to obtain consent for close up imagery of adults and children, however, please note crowd photography and filming may be taking place. If you DO NOT want your photo or your child’s photo taken, please talk to the photographer/videographer or a Council staff member. Please note our photographer/videographer always carry identification.
Directions
Attendees must follow all reasonable directions from Council staff, event security, and Emergency Services.
Disclaimer
Attendance and participation in event activities are at the attendee’s own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Council accepts no liability for any loss, harm, damage, or expense arising from attendance or participation.
Entry Conditions and Capacity Limits
Entry may be refused for non-compliance with Conditions of Entry or if the event reaches capacity.
Food
Food will be available for purchase at Children’s Week Picnic. BYO food is welcome.
Non-Compliance
Failure to comply may result in removal from the event and/or refusal of re-entry to current or future events.
Photography and Filming
Live streaming or broadcasting of events and/or activities held at the event is not permitted. Commercial photography, filming and the use of drones at the event is not permitted without prior permission from Council.
Property
Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings and must not leave them unattended. Council may remove any unattended items.
SURVEY COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
By entering the Australia Day in Wyndham Survey Competition, I agree to the Terms and Conditions which I confirm that I have read and understood.
AUSTRALIA DAY IN WYNDHAM SURVEY COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This competition is run by Wyndham City Council in the state of Victoria, Australia only.
2. By entering this competition you agree to accept these terms and of entry. If your entry does not comply with these terms and conditions, it is not valid and will not be accepted.
3. To be eligible to enter the competition, you must be a Victorian resident aged over 18 years of age and have attended Council’s Australia Day in Wyndham Event at Wyndham Park on 26 January 2026. Council staff, Councillors and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
4. To enter the competition, you must opt in to the competition draw when submitting your responses to Council’s Australia Day in Wyndham Survey between 11.00am on 26 January 2026 and 5pm on 1 February 2026. Entries received outside of this period will not be accepted.
5. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
6. The competition will be drawn at 11am on 3 February 2026 by Council officers. The first person drawn at random from all valid entries will be declared the competition winner and will win a gift vouchers to the value of $250. The winner will be contacted by phone and email by 5pm on 3 February 2026.
7. If the winner cannot be contacted by 11am on 5 February 2026, Council may opt to conduct a further draw to determine a new competition winner.
8. If the prize has not been claimed by 9am on 13 February 2026, the winner will be deemed to have surrendered the prize and Council may opt to conduct a further draw to award the unclaimed prize.
9. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
10. Council may, at its absolute discretion, require the winner to provide evidence of their identity on collection of the prize.
11. Council accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, corrupt or invalid entries.
12. If for any reason this competition cannot be run as planned, Council reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
13. Council reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and without notice to you. 15. Council’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
