Dadfit - Free Fitness and Health Program for Local Dads

Dadfit: Making Dadding a Team Sport

Dadfit is a five-week, community-based program designed to support, connect, and strengthen local dads — because dadding was never meant to be a solo effort.

The program creates a safe, welcoming space where dads can move their bodies, clear their heads, and talk honestly about the highs, the lows, and everything in between. No judgement. No pressure. Just dads supporting dads.

Delivered in local schools and community centres, Dadtit runs for five weekly sessions, each lasting around two hours and built around three simple ingredients: movement, connection, and practical take-aways.

What happens each week?
🏃‍♂️ Dad Workouts (45 minutes)

Each session kicks off with a fun, inclusive HIIT-style workout. These sessions are designed for real dads — no mirrors, no ego, no fitness experience required. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already active, you’ll be supported to move at your own pace and enjoy the process.

💬 Dad Chats (60 minutes)

After the workout, dads sit down for a facilitated conversation that goes beyond small talk. These evidence-based discussions create space for honest reflection, shared experiences, and practical insights into modern fatherhood.

Over five weeks, the program explores:

Week 1: Being a Dad – building strong emotional connection with your children

Week 2: Work and Family Balance – navigating pressure, time, and expectations

Week 3: Healthy Relationships – strengthening your partnership with a co-parent

Week 4: Your Wellbeing – looking after your mental, physical, and social health

Week 5: Dad Community – celebrating progress and building ongoing support

No lectures. No fixing. Just real conversations that matter.

🎯 Dad Challenges (Weekly)

Each week, dads receive a simple “Dad Challenge” — practical actions designed to translate insight into everyday life. These might include finding moments of genuine connection with your kids, or small but meaningful acts of care for your partner.

Challenges are shared via a private WhatsApp group to keep the momentum going and help dads feel supported between sessions.

What happens after the five weeks?

Dadfit doesn’t end when the program finishes.

Participants are supported to form an ongoing local Dad Team — a group that stays connected, continues to meet, and keeps running its own Dadfit sessions. The goal is simple: build long-term community, connection, and support for dads right where they live.

Because when dads feel stronger, more connected, and supported — families and communities benefit too.
