This article explains how to apply for a service through our online services. This is for customers who want to apply for a permit, certificate or registration.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- an account in our online service platform
- for applications that have a fee, a credit card
- your attachments saved to a local drive.
Steps
- Search our website to find the permit, certificate or registration you want to apply for.
- Click on the relevant button to apply for your permit, certificate or registration.
- Sign in to our online service portal, or follow the steps to create an account if you haven’t signed in before.
- Complete the online form fields, clicking on the ‘Next’ button until you reach the screen titled ‘Summary’. If you are using a mobile device, the next button appears as an arrow at the top of the screen.
- To move past the summary page, you need to click on a button labelled ‘lodge’ or ‘proceed’. This is located near the top right-hand corner of the screen. on ‘Actions Required’
- You must complete all outstanding steps appearing in red text under ‘actions required’. To see the actions required on a phone or smaller device, you need to tap on ‘Actions Required at the bottom of your screen.
- Typical actions include:
- adding a contractor, builder, property owner, business owner or other relevant party
- adding a mandatory attachment.
- When you have completed all actions, you can pay the fee (if applicable) and finalise your application. The button to finalise or pay will appear near the top left-hand corner of the screen, or at the bottom of your phone screen.
Hints and tips
- Applications are easier to complete on desktop screens.
- If you are using a mobile device, the ‘next’ button appears as an arrow at the top of the screen.
