There are a number of areas around the Wyndham City Council area where you can get a residential parking permit. This permit will let you park in these areas without having to follow the time limits.
The residential parking permit areas are:
- Swift Street, Hoppers Crossing
- Princes Highway, Hoppers Crossing
- Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing.
You can have up to two residential parking permits per property.
How to apply for a permit
To apply for a permit, you will need to:
- fill in the application form
- provide proof of your address (in the form of a utilities bill, rates notice or tenancy agreement).
We will assess your application and issue your permit within 15 days. You can get your permit:
- by post
- by picking it up in person from the Wyndham Civic Centre in Werribee.
Conditions of your permit
- The permit label must be clearly displayed on the rear vision mirror with the expiry date and permit number visible from the outside of the vehicle.
- Your permit will be considered invalid if it has been defaced or altered in any way.
- The permit is only valid at the location written on the permit and in appropriately signed areas.
- The permit must be surrendered on request from an authorised officer of Council.
- Your permit does not guarantee you a parking space.
- If you are parking in a space outside of the parking permit area, you must follow any parking rules that apply.
- Reminders will not be forwarded as it is the permit holder’s responsibility to renew the permit before the expiry date to avoid incurring unnecessary fines.
Renewing your parking permit
You will need to renew your parking permit before it expires.
