A supermoon eclipse, superpowers and a sneezing narwhal -Attack of the Krill may be a very small book (pocket sized in fact!) but it sure fits a lot into its colourful pages. Presented in graphic novel format the illustrator and authors first book in the Team Unihorn and Woolly series is a colourful delight. It’s a quick and easy read that you could complete in an afternoon and it’s totally entertaining and funny.

There are arguments about superpowers and what exactly counts as a magical horn (can you have a horn on your bottom?) The friends must battle a storm and witness a huge supermoon. Technically it’s a Super Blood Full Moon Eclipse, but that’s a mouthful even for me! The eclipse results in some interesting side effects – which effect not only the friends; Raina the rhino, Nigel the narwhal, Shu the horseshoe crab, and Woolly the mammoth, but the krill in the water.  Now the friends have been gifted the ability to fly, lightning quick abilities, supersonic sonar, and extra fur – can they defeat the giant krill monster?  Sometimes your friends just make a situation worse, but sometimes with a little unihorn help they save the day. Read until the end to find out if Team Unihorn, plus Woolly, can save Burlap Beach from the giant krill monster. I hope you like ice-cream!

This is the first book in the series, which now has three titles.
