Wyndham City Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors for the civil construction works associated with the rectification and upgrade of bioretention assets within the Skelton Creek upper waterholes section.
A mandatory onsite briefing will be conducted, with details provided in Part 1 Conditions of Tender.
The objective of this project is to restore the operational performance and hydraulic functionality of existing bioretention systems that are currently underperforming.
The successful Contractor will be responsible for the demolition, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the bioretention systems. The works are to be delivered as fully operational systems and shall include all ancillary components and minor works necessary to achieve a complete and compliant project delivery.
The scope of works includes, but is not limited to:
- Demolition and disposal of existing infrastructure
- Upgrades to sediment ponds
- Construction of the access tracks
- Replacement and improvement of filter media
- Upgrades to inlet and outlet structures
- Rectification of non-compliant batters
- Erosion control measures
- Remediation and restatement of native vegetation
All works must be undertaken in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, applicable guidelines, and the requirements of all relevant authorities having jurisdiction over the works. The Contractor must ensure the completed bioretention systems satisfy all required performance, safety, environmental, and durability standards.
