Wyndham City Community Strengthening Grants

The Community Strengthening Grants Program helps local people and organisations turn ideas into activities, programs, events, and opportunities that strengthen community life.

The Community Strengthening Grants Program objectives are to:

  • bring people together
  • build community connection and participation
  • improve wellbeing and inclusion
  • celebrate culture, creativity, and diversity
  • strengthen local skills, leadership, and networks.

The Community Strengthening Grants Program supports the priorities of the Wyndham City Council Plan 2025–2029, which includes the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan. These plans guide how grants are assessed and help ensure funded projects create positive outcomes for the Wyndham community.

Community Grants Policy

Wyndham City Council’s Community Grants Policy sets the foundation for how Council supports community through grant funding.

Adopted in March 2026, the Policy establishes a consistent, whole-of-Council approach to grant decision-making while allowing flexibility at a program level. It focuses on how grants are governed and delivered, with the detail for each grant program captured in individual guidelines.

The Policy is built on four key pillars:

  • Governance – clear oversight and accountable decision-making
  • Transparency – open, fair and consistent processes
  • Equity – fair access to funding opportunities
  • Access – simpler, more approachable grant programs

Information about specific grant programs, including eligibility criteria, funding priorities and application timelines, will be available through individual program pages as they open.
