Thank you to everyone who entered our Design a Kids Library Card Competition!
We are pleased to announce the winners Ayana and Vivaansh. Their designs will be printed into library cards available for kids!
Ayana’s thought process behind her design was she just drew things she loved and made her feel happy. She loves reading and visiting the library.
Vivaansh thought process behind his design;
"When I thought about what I love about the library, I couldn't choose just one thing! There are books, LEGO, board games, art, computers and even robotics. So I thought, why not put a bit of everything on my card?
I made a boy and girl reading together in the middle because libraries are for everyone. I added a robot and computer because I love technology, and a rocket because books teach us about space and planets! I also drew a giraffe and kangaroo at Werribee Zoo, a platypus relaxing by the Werribee River, and Werribee Mansion because they all remind me of the special things about Wyndham, where we live.
I had so many ideas, and my mum helped me put all the puzzle pieces together. The colourful swirls show all the fun things you can discover at the library. I wanted other kids to look at my card and think, 'Wow, libraries are actually really fun!"
