Wyndham Planning Scheme Amendments C150 and C151

Amendment C150 was adopted into the Wyndham Planning Scheme in March 2015. C150 introduced Schedule 1 to the Activity Centre Zone – Werribee Principal Activity Centre as key planning policy guiding new development in the Werribee City Centre. The Werribee City Centre Structure Plan is a key reference document.

Amendment C151 was adopted into the Wyndham Planning Scheme in February 2014. C151 introduced Schedule 1 to Parking Overlay at Clause 45.09 as key planning policy guiding parking provision associated with new development in the Werribee City Centre. The Werribee City Centre Parking Precinct Plan is a key reference document.

    Major Projects in Werribee

    Riverbank Promenade

    The Riverbank Promenade is planned to provide a pedestrian walkway for alfresco dining, shopping, entertainment, socialising and enjoyment of the park and river setting.

    Wyndham Park

    Wyndham Park will become the green heart of the Werribee City Centre. Masteplanning for Wyndham Park is currently underway and major redevelopment is planned with new attractions and features.

    Riverbend

    The Council owned Riverbend site offers unparalleled views of the Werribee River and Wyndham Park. Currently a public car park, redevelopment is proposed to bring the Riverbend to life, featuring retail, parking, offices and apartments.

    Gateway

    The Council owned Gateway site is one of the most prominent in the Werribee City Centre. Currently a public a car park, redevelopment is proposed to mark the gateway to the Werribee City Centre featuring retail, parking, offices and apartments.
