If your building project requires you to put up gantries or hoardings on a public space like a footpath or nature strip, you will need to get a report and consent protection of the public.

Email your completed application form and any relevant documents to mail@wyndham.vic.gov.au.
You will also need to apply for a permit to occupy space on a footpath or nature strip.
Documents you need to apply
As part of your application, you will need to provide:
- a copy of the title
- an approved plan of subdivision (if applicable)
- a site plan showing the proposed public protection (gantries, hoardings etc)
- a letter from the relevant building surveyor approving the proposed public protection
- a certificate of compliance for the design of the proposed protection from a registered civil engineer (if applicable)
- any plans and structural computations relating to the proposed protection from a registered civil engineer (if applicable)
- a traffic management plan (if applicable)
- a copy of your certificate of public liability insurance cover for no less than $20 million
- pedestrian signage in accordance with AS1742.3 (2019).
If your work does not comply with the Minister’s Guideline MG-12, your application will be refused.
