YouthMIND Australia’s Community Care Project is an initiative focused on raising awareness of youth mental health while giving back to the community in a meaningful and practical way.

As part of the project, the YouthMIND Australia team will come together to prepare care packages containing a range of items chosen to promote care, comfort and wellbeing. Once completed, the care packages will be donated to headspace, an organisation that provides mental health and wellbeing support to young Australians aged 12–25.

The Community Care Project reflects YouthMIND Australia’s mission to empower young Australians to prioritise their mental health through awareness, education, advocacy and community action. Through this initiative, we hope to contribute to greater awareness surrounding youth mental health while demonstrating how small acts of kindness and community involvement can make a positive difference.

The project will also provide an opportunity for our team to work collaboratively, strengthen our involvement within the Wyndham community and continue developing initiatives that support our goal of improving awareness and reducing stigma surrounding youth mental health.

YouthMIND Australia hopes that the Community Care Project will be one of many future initiatives that bring our organisation, local services and the wider community together in support of young people and their mental wellbeing.
