In May, as part of Domestic Violence Prevention Month, we invite the community to stand together to honour those who have felt the impact of domestic/family violence by attending a Candlelight Vigil.
It will commence with Sherele Moody speaking, one of Australia’s most powerful voices in the fight to end violence against women and children and will end with the candlelight vigil.
The event is organised by the Wyndham Family Violence Network, a supporter of Safe Steps.
This gathering is a moment for community to pause, reflect, and reaffirm our shared commitment to creating a safer future for women, children, and families. Together we’ll shine a light that refuses to be dimmed.
We encourage everyone to attend from the commencement of the event but appreciate that there maybe some who may come late.
What to expect on the night:
| 6.30 pm | Welcome and light refreshments served |
| 7.05 pm | Keynote Speaker – Sherele Moody |
| 7.45 pm | Genwest Advisory group speaker – Lauren |
| 8 pm | Messages of hope to be written by those in attendance |
| 8.10 pm | Vigil commences with one minute silence |
| 8.30 pm | Event concludes |
Together, we remember. Together, we stand for change
