'Walk in Her Shoes' is a community awareness initiative led by Council to Homeless Persons delivered in partnership with multiple local councils across Victoria. The project highlights the experiences of women facing homelessness and family violence, aiming to build understanding, empathy, and informed responses within the community and across local government.
The exhibition presents personal stories and lived experiences, encouraging viewers to reflect on the structural and social issues contributing to homelessness among women.
Exhibition Details:
The exhibition will be open to the public across 27 April to 7 May, providing an opportunity for councillors, staff, and community members to engage with the stories and themes presented.
Panel Discussion:
This forum will bring together sector leaders, policymakers, and community members to discuss the intersection of homelessness, housing stress, and family violence.
