Join us on Saturday 31 October at Wyndham Art Gallery for the opening of new exhibitions, PLAY and Swamp Monsters. Across the two exhibitions, adults and children alike are invited to be playful, interactive and consider how art can help us tackle big ideas.

PLAY explores how contemporary artists use playfulness, humour, and the language of games to approach subjects that are often difficult, divisive, or emotionally charged. Through irony, satire, absurdity, and acts of joyful rebellion, the artists in this exhibition blur the boundaries between fun and critique.

Swamp Monsters was created for kids by artist Vipoo Srivilasa, and invites kids to transform into a wetland creature. Choose your costume, then make your own Swamp Monster mask to complete your transformation. What kind of swamp monster will you be?

PLAY and Swamp Monsters run from Saturday 31 October 2026 - Sunday 24 January 2027. 

Gallery opening hours: Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm, Saturday - Sunday 10am - 3pm.
