The Youth Resource Centre and Youth Services @ Point Cook will re-open with normal business hours of 9am to 6pm.

Youth Programs/Services

All youth programs will return indoors from Wednesday 28 July and will be capped at 10 young people for the Youth Resource Centre, Youth Services @ Point Cook, Youth Services @ Manor Lakes and Youth Services @ Tarneit.

Any outside youth programs or services will be limited to 10 people and masks are required to be worn.

Masks are required to be worn indoors and outdoors and young people must check in via our QR Code.

The Wyndham Street Surfer Bus is a state-of-the-art mobile youth information service that provides young people with the tools they need to enjoy healthy, active and fulfilling lives.

It is fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment, including WiFi, music and DJ equipment, gaming consoles, art equipment, sports equipment including a mobile basketball ring and soccer goals, and five LCD screens inside and an outdoor LCD screen which can be utilised for gaming and movies, and more. 

It’s also a place where young people can build their skills through recreational and educational workshops, and a safe space where they can engage with our Youth Services team and access information, advice, support and referrals.

Through the bus, our team of skilled and trained Youth Workers offers after-hours and weekend support to young people across Wyndham, providing help when and where they need it most.

Bookings

We will make the bus available to schools and youth services providers in the coming months on an as-needed basis.

What is the Street Surfer Bus?

The Wyndham Street Surfer Bus is a state-of-the art mobile youth information service that is fitted out with WiFi, music and DJ equipment, gaming consoles, art equipment, sports equipment including a mobile basketball ring and soccer goals, and five LCD screens inside and an outdoor LCD screen which can be utilised for gaming and movies and more.

What services does it offer?

Young people will be able to access a wide range of services through the bus, including counselling, legal advice, Foodbank, employment advice, alternate education programs and tertiary services for young people at risk after hours.

It’s also a safe space where they can engage with our Youth Services team and access information, advice, support and referrals.

Where is the Street Surfer Bus located?

The bus is a mobile unit that travels to different locations across the municipality.
