Wyndham Together – Submit Your Content/Event
- Wyndham City has launched a new website, Wyndham Together to help residents stay connected while social distancing. This platform provides information about upcoming online classes and workshops, and great articles to stay healthy and active.
- Health, Wellness and Fitness businesses are encouraged to submit their date-specific, scheduled, online events with reference to the platform where these take place (e.g. Facebook live, webinar, Zoom etc). If you have existing online events planned or instructional content (e.g. online workout video) that would be of value for the community at this time and would like to share, you can do this via the Wyndham Together website.

Wyndham City's Economic Growth Department is committed to assisting in the development of a vibrant and sustainable local economy.
They offer a range of services and support for small, home-based, medium or large businesses in Wyndham and can put you in touch with other businesses and industry groups in the region.

The Melbourne Innovation Centre offers free access to four hours of virtual mentoring as well as free online workshops and resources. Businesses need to be Victorian for-profit businesses with an active ABN and under 20 employees to be eligible.

Volunteering and Grants
Wyndham Community Health Grant - The Point Cook Football Club (PCFC) are establishing a Wellbeing and Fitness Club through an inaugural women’s group pilot programme. The Wellbeing and Fitness Club will run a pilot 12-week programme for two nights per week engaging a Wyndham based Fitness business to conduct the sessions.
One night per week will be dedicated to the Wellness aspect with specialist presenters confirmed for topics including Nutrition, Women’s hormones, Mental Health (including identification of children’s mental health), Nutrition for kids, Pre and Post Natal Health and Physical Health. The alternate night will be a fitness night run by professional trainers on topics including Learn to Run, Yoga, Wellfit Mums, Self Defence and Fitness for differing age groups.
Active After Hours
A new initiative to help Wyndham residents get more active, more often – we’re keeping the lights turned on outside of the normal hours at some of our sporting facilities.
This will allow more members of the community to use facilities and be more active.

Active Kids is a Wyndham City Council initiative free to schools, designed to be a fun way to encourage healthy eating habits and increased physical activity in children aged 8-10 years (grade 3 & 4) attending primary schools across the Wyndham municipality.
The Active Kids program offer opportunities for Wyndham Providers to connect with partner schools through the delivery of clinics, providing collateral and/or offering opportunities for grade 3 & 4 to be active outside of school.

Healthy & Active Expo
Wyndham City’s annual Healthy and Active Expo showcases sports, fitness and wellbeing activities in within local neighbourhoods during September& October.
Each year Wyndham partner with a variety of providers including Health, Wellness & Fitness businesses, Sports Clubs and community organisations to deliver free events, clinics and ‘come and try’ sessions for all ages and abilities.

WynLocal Small Business Professional Advice Program
WynLocal Small Business Professional Advice Program
Wyndham City is offering local small businesses access to a free professional services advisory program. This initiative is fully funded by Council as part of the WynLocal Economic Support Package.
The program has been developed in response to the economic impacts of COVID-19 and more specifically to support small businesses that may not have the internal resources, or access to specialist advice, to assist in the management of staff, management of finances and or the implementation of digital marketing initiatives that have the capacity to find new markets at this most difficult time.
Businesses can defer their rate
Wyndham City Council is offering businesses the opportunity to defer their outstanding rates for the 2019-20 financial year. This means that payment will be deferred up until 30 September 2020 without interest being charged. For more information and to apply click on the link below.
