All Ages Chess

Join us for All Ages Chess at the library. Beginners and experienced players are welcome. Our experienced Chess Club Volunteers will be available to help with basic rules, strategies and to referee games. 

Enjoy a game with your friends or family and meet other Chess enthusiasts in the Library!

English Conversation

At English Conversation you can practise your English skills, meet new people, and learn from others. This is a great way for you to connect with the community and maybe even make new friends.

English Reading Circle

Do you want to practise your English reading and pronunciation in a fun and informal way?

Join us at Reading Circle, where we will practise our English reading and speaking skills by reading aloud together. Suitable for adults with lower-intermediate English skills.

Do you need some focused support with computers or technology? Free digital training is available.

Book a 30 minute IT help session, and our friendly staff will help you.

Help available includes:

  • Searching the internet
  • Using email
  • Accessing the online library
  • Setting up a MyGov account, and accessing your vaccine status
  • Help booking your vaccination appointment
  • Connecting online with social media
  • Connecting with online video calls

This is an in-person, or online session, and Microsoft Teams will be used to provide demonstrative information and assistance. Phone support is also available.
