Pre-Prep Kindergarten
At participating kindergarten services within Wyndham City Council’s Central Registration & Enrolment Scheme, eligible children will be able to access up to 22.5 hours a week in 2026.

Pre-Prep Kindergarten
Timetable Descriptions
Sessional Groups
In sessional groups, your child will attend kindergarten for 15 hours on fixed days. Each group on the timetable will show which days during the week this occurs for the entire kindergarten year. These groups can be identified by their colour themed name and are indicated by the word “Sessional” in the TYPE column.
Example: ‘Silver’ is a Sessional group, where your child will attend kindergarten on Mondays and Wednesdays each week between 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, totalling 15 hours.

Rotational Groups
In rotational groups, your child will still enjoy 15 hours of kindergarten each week. The only difference is that your child’s group will socialise with other groups, allowing them to build friendships and connections with a larger group of peers. Please refer to the below image for more information on how rotational groups work:
These groups can be identified by their animal themed name and are indicated by the word ‘Rotational’ in the Type column.
Example: ‘Kangaroo B’ is a Rotational group, where your child will attend kindergarten on Tuesdays and Fridays each week between 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, totalling 15 hours.

3YO, 4YO and Mixed-Aged Groups
A 3YO Kindergarten Group contains only 3YO children. Both Sessional and Rotational 3YO groups are available in the timetable. These groups are Indicated by ‘3YO’ in the AGE column and highlighted blue.
A 4YO Kindergarten Group contains only 4YO children. Both Sessional and Rotational 4YO groups are available in the timetable. These groups are Indicated by ‘4YO’ in the AGE column and highlighted green.
A Mixed-Aged Kindergarten Group brings together 3YO and 4YO children. These groups provide a unique opportunity for learning and development. Both Sessional and Rotational Mixed-Aged groups are available in the timetable. These groups are Indicated by ‘Mixed’ in the AGE column and highlighted orange.

Kindergarten Open Days will take place in March and May, providing you with an opportunity to visit any and all services listed below to make informed decisions for your 2027 kindergarten preferences.
These Open Days will occur on the following:
- Open day 1: Wednesday 4 March 2026, 5pm – 7pm
- Open day 2: Saturday 2 May 2026, 9.30am – 12.30pm
