To get a building permit, you will need to engage a building surveyor.
A building surveyor will:
- review your plans and make sure your project complies with the Building Act and Building Regulations
- issue a building permit and provide guidance on other permits or consents you may need
- inspect your project throughout the building process to make sure all work is compliant.
Choosing a building surveyor
There are two types of building surveyors:
- municipal (local council) building surveyors
- private building surveyors.
Our building surveyor team, Wyndham Building Permits, has experience in commercial and domestic building projects in all classes of buildings.
We provide building permits for properties across Victoria, not just in Wyndham.
If you engage Wyndham Building Permits, you will make all your building applications through us. This includes applications like:
- building permits
- occupancy permits
- report and consent
- swimming pool registration.
If you choose to go with a private building surveyor, they will issue your building permit and occupancy permit.
