Advocacy and Government Relations

Advocacy, in the context of local government, is the act of obtaining Government support for a project, policy or program. Through engagement and building partnership, advocacy forms a key opportunity for Council to deliver on much needed services and infrastructure for our growing community

In 2024, Council undertook a process of creating a transparent process around this advocacy work, which led to the formation of the award-winning Advocacy Strategy 2024-26. 

The Wyndham Advocacy and Stakeholder Relations Framework builds on this work and supports the planning, implementation, coordination and efficiency of advocacy activities to maximise success and deliver better outcomes for the Wyndham Community for the long term. You can read it here:
