As part of the Wyndham Seniors Festival 2026, Wyndham Park Community Shed is inviting retired tradies, experienced makers and practical people to discover how their skills can continue to make a difference in the community.

Across three free events from 6–8 October, visitors can tour our workshops, meet our friendly volunteers and learn about flexible opportunities to get involved. On Tuesday 6 October, our Woodshop session welcomes retired carpenters, cabinetmakers, furniture makers and experienced woodworkers. On Wednesday 7 October, our Bike Shop and Tool Library opens its doors to retired mechanics, bike enthusiasts and practical fixers. On Thursday 8 October, our Metalshop session is aimed at people with experience in metalwork, fabrication, welding and related trades.

These relaxed sessions are an opportunity to see the Shed in action and explore ways to share your knowledge, mentor others, contribute to community projects and stay active and socially connected. There is no obligation to become a volunteer — simply come along, meet the crew and see whether the Shed is right for you.
