Celebrate Father's Day by discovering the exciting world of 3D Printing and CAD (Computer-Aided Design)!
Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you'll design your own 3D model using beginner-friendly CAD software and learn how 3D printers turn digital ideas into real objects.
Whether you attend with Dad, another family member, a friend, or on your own, everyone is welcome. No previous experience is needed—just bring your creativity!
During this workshop you'll:
- Learn the basics of 3D printing
- Design your own simple 3D model using CAD software
- Discover how to prepare a model for 3D printing
- Watch a live 3D printing demonstration
Who can attend?
Suitable for ages 5+ (5-6 year olds must be in school). Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a participating parent, guardian or responsible adult.
(Please don't bring in young chilldren that are not going to participate)
💻 Please bring your own laptop. Please don't use a Tablet or Phone for this activity. (1 laptop per group/team/pair/person).

Please note:
- Participant models will not be printed during the workshop due to printing times.
- For the families coming with multiple kids, please make sure that the kids under 8 to have an adult (or a non participating older person to assist them on their laptop.
- Designs will be limited to a maximum size of approximately 60 × 60 × 20 mm to ensure all participant models can be printed.
- Printed models will be available for collection from the Wyndham Park Community Shed later in the month. Collection details will be provided during the workshop.
All participants under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) in accordance with our safeguarding policy.
Participants under 12 who are approved to attend should expect their accompanying adult to provide assistance if required. The workshop instructor will provide guidance to the whole group but cannot provide one-to-one support throughout the session.
