Wyndham City is proud to announce Holly Kiefer as the One Wyndham recipient for June.

Holly makes a meaningful contribution to the Wyndham community through her volunteering work with Wyndham City’s Youth Services, within Amplify’s Paradox Committee. Holly also helps out at a local animal shelter, caring and looking after abandoned animals.

She is a positive role model who has been volunteering over the past eight years with the Paradox Committee, delivering live music events that bring young people together and foster inclusion.

Holly is passionate about empowering young people and is committed to making a difference through her work with Amplify and youth led initiatives that give voice to young people and ensure that young people’s perspectives are heard and valued.

As part of her volunteer role within the Paradox Committee, Holly is responsible for planning live music events and displayed strong leadership, organisational and planning skills in event management and also gained valuable insight into the music industry. She carefully curated a lineup for the End of Year event that reflected the energy and diversity of the local music scene. 

Holly led the live music events, coordinating a team of volunteers, providing direction, fostering a positive, inclusive environment and provided young people with hands-on learning opportunities, confidence-building experiences, and insight into career pathways within the creative and events industries.

Wyndham City’s Deputy Mayor Cr Jasmine Hill, said “Holly is an inspirational role model who is self-driven and works hard to achieve her goals.” 

“Wyndham City thanks Holly for volunteering with Wyndham City’s Youth Amplify program for the past eight years. Her immense contribution has been appreciated.” said Cr Hill.

One Wyndham recipients are residents aged between 12 to 25 who positively contribute to the Wyndham community and are role models to other young people.

Each month Council selects a Wyndham resident to be awarded the ‘Young Person of the Month’.

Winners are awarded a $300 gift voucher of their choice and other prizes.
