Wyndham City is proud to announce Madison Winfield as the One Wyndham recipient for April.
Madison is a compassionate and creative young leader who encourages inclusivity within the Wyndham community.
Madison is currently studying Year 12 and leads arts initiatives and events as the schools’ Arts Captain. She also leads the school’s Media team overseeing the planning, filming, and editing of fortnightly programs that highlight’s school life and celebrate student achievements.
She enjoys supporting young people to feel valued and included. By setting a strong example and fostering creativity, compassion and collaboration she empowers young people to build connections, grow personally, and create lasting positive impact.
Madison also volunteers in a range of community-focused initiatives; including ‘Into Loving Homes Foundation’ writing weekly newsletters and blogs, manages social media, designs promotional graphics, and importantly build donation pages to support animal rehoming. She fundraises for the Fred Hollows Foundation to help restore sight, and for the Children’s Cancer Institute supporting children battling cancer.
As a committed member of Rotary’s Interact Club, Madison organises and assists with projects that support those in need across the community.
Wyndham City Deputy Mayor Cr Jasmine Hill, said “Madison is an inspiring young woman that volunteers her time to help others.”
“Wyndham City thanks Madison for her contribution to the Wyndham community,” said Cr Hill.
One Wyndham recipients are residents aged between 12 to 25 who positively contribute to the Wyndham community and are role models to other young people.
Each month Council selects a Wyndham resident to be awarded the ‘Young Person of the Month’.
Winners are awarded a $300 gift voucher of their choice and other prizes.
